Liam Rosenior hopes his performance in Reading's win against Middlesbrough will keep him in the starting XI.
The England U21 fullback told Reading's website: "It's up to the manager, but hopefully I can stay in the team now. I won't lie, I would back myself alongside anyone in the country. I played every game for Fulham last year, I'm a Premiership player and I wanted to prove it.
"Hopefully I did that, now I want to push on. A year ago to this day people were talking about my name and England. Graeme Murty is a living legend here, but like I say I would back myself against anyone."
