Roma president Rosella Sensi has told coach Claudio Ranieri that a long run in the Europa League is a priority.

While Roma are also chasing a Champions League finish in Serie A, the financial rewards from a successful Europa League campaign has convinced Sensi to demand Ranieri pour his resources into the competition.

The Giallorossi have already cashed €1.6m for their participation in the Europa League and they will net another €270,000 if they make it through to the Quarter-Finals.

Should Roma actually win the competition then they will be rewarded with a cheque for €14m, a figure that would perhaps be re-invested in the team this summer.
