Rosell: Barcelona must beat old cat Wenger to sign Arsenal's Cesc

Barcelona president candidate Sandro Rosell has warned Arsenal he won't break the bank to bring Cesc Fabregas to the Nou Camp.

Arsenal have already rejected one offer of £29 million from Barca for Cesc.

"To pay €60-70 million [£49m - £58m] which is what I am reading, is too much," Rosell told Marca newspaper.

The former Barca vice-president Rosell admits they face a battle with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to convince him to sell.

"He's an old cat [Wenger], he knows a lot and is quite capable of protecting his club," he added.

"I know him. He's not a bad negotiator and won't be easy to convince."
