Rose wins Central Coast Mariners prize

Josh Rose has been crowned the Central Coast Mariners player of the year for the 2010/11 A-League season.

The 29-year old left-back enjoyed a stellar season back in the Australian domestic competition after joining the Mariners from Romanian outfit Universitatea Craoiva at the beginning of the campaign.

Rose was brilliant as an attacking full-back, making 31 appearances, providing seven assists and scoring three goals as the Central Coast were beaten in heartbreaking circumstances by Brisbane Roar in the Grand Final.

The former New Zealand Knights and Brisbane Strikers man took out the Mariners Medal after being voted his club's best player in a 3-2-1 voting system.
