Rose playing for his Spurs future at Sunderland

Danny Rose is playing for his Tottenham future - at Sunderland.

The Daily Star Sunday says England Under-21s star Rose is on loan at Sunderland, who want to sign him permanently.

But the White Hart Lane outfit are regularly assessing his form on Wearside.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is still to decide whether Rose, 22, is the answer.

If AVB decides to look elsewhere to replace Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Rose could be sold to Sunderland for £7million.
