England U21 midfielder Danny Rose is aiming to make the breakthrough at Tottenham next season.

"Right now, I'm thinking solely about preparing for the new campaign and trying to force my way into manager Harry Redknapp's plans at Spurs," he said.

"I feel I am more than ready to challenge for a place in the starting line-up and pre-season will go a long way to determining whether that will happen or not.

"But I feel confident I have what it takes to impress."
