Central Coast Mariners recruit Joshua Rose has revealed that the A-League club is in fact more professional than what he experienced when playing in Romania.
The 28-year old defender is back in Australia after spending about four years with Liga 1 club Universitatea Craiova and had plenty of good things to say about the Mariners' set up.
"It is good to be back on the coast," he told the Morning Bulletin.
"It is quite professional and in many ways more professional than it was in Romania.
"Also the owner of the club (Romania) was having a few financial problems."
Rose will be deployed as a left-back for the Mariners under new coach Graham Arnold and said he was hoping to impress national team selectors as the season goes on.
"That is where I have been slotted again," he added. "Arnie has got together a very balanced squad.
"Obviously it (national team) is one reason for coming home as it keeps you in the window.
"But there are a lot of good left backs about."
