Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is weighing up a move away in January.

The Mirror says Demichelis could leave the Etihad in January, with Rosario Central interested in taking the veteran Argentine back to his homeland.

Rosario Central manager Eduardo Coudet played with Demichelis at River Plate and is keen to bring in experience as they look to better their title challenge of last season.

But their hopes of luring him back to Argentina could be hit by New York City FC, the MLS club Man City co-own, who could instead sign the 34-year-old on loan.
