Roque Santa Cruz admits he could've left Malaga last summer.
The former Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers striker says he's happily settled at Malaga.
"There was intent and interest from more than one team," said the Paraguay international. "But mostly, I wanted to be sure if the club wanted to keep me here.
"I had a contract and was very clear about my desire to want to continue to achieve the objectives of the club (so I stayed)."
Santa Cruz is in his third season at Malaga.
