Wayne Rooney's new deal with Manchester United is worth a Premier League record £300,000-a-week. The Daily Star says the contract will keep Rooney, 28, at Old Trafford until 2018 and is expected to see him finish his career with the champions.
United bosses have refused to admit Rooney's future has been secured, but the news will be confirmed in the next few days.
Chief executive Ed Woodward is currently on holiday but has held more talks with Rooney and his agent Paul Stretford.
It is understood terms have been agreed between both parties and the news is a huge boost to under-fire boss David Moyes.
