Rooneyless Man Utd let two goal lead slip at Everton

Manchester United conceded two goals in added time at Goodison Park as Everton fought back for a share of the spoils in a dramatic 3-3 draw. With just 24 minutes remaining Manchester United had taken a 3-1 lead and seemed destined for the three points even without England striker Wayne Rooney.

Then as the game entered stoppage time United allowed Everton, who had earlier taken the lead, to score twice and earn a draw in what was a thrilling encounter.

Steven Pienaar had side-footed Everton ahead in the first half, but almost immediately the visitor's hit back and Darren Fletcher levelled from a Nani cross.

Nani again centred for Nemanja Vidic to head home just after the break and when Dimitar Berbatov added a third it all looked over for the Toffees.

As the game enters extra time Tim Cahill got between two United defenders and headed past Edwin Van der Sar.

Incredibly a minute later the scores are level. Leighton Baines centres and Mikel Arteta shoots home via a deflection off Paul Scholes and earns Everton a stunning point.
