Rooney to return to help Man Utd injury woes

Wayne Rooney has given a fitness boost to Manchester United ahead of the weekend's West Bromwich Albion encounter.

Rooney has been missing in action for United for the last four matches due to a knee injury and as a result of the fitness problem, the 31-year-old was unable to participate in the England national team's recent round of fixtures as well.

In a huge boost for United though, Rooney could be available for the Red Devils' upcoming clash against Albion after making a full recovery and manager Jose Mourinho will surely be happy to have his captain back, especially with Zlatan Ibrahimovic serving his suspension.

United also have midfielder Ander Herrera suspended and Marouane Fellaini in doubt and could also be without defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.
