Rooney: Talent in Man Utd attack is unbelievable

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed he celebrated winning last season's Champions League by sleeping on a hotel floor!

Rooney said: "We went to the party afterwards, which was brilliant, and did not get back to the hotel until about 2.30am.

"I think I was one of the first to go to bed.

"My wife Coleen's brother and his girlfriend stayed with us, so when we went up to bed I had to stay on the floor.

"It was a bit weird. We'd just won the Champions League and I was going to sleep on the floor! But I don't think I'd have minded where I got my head down that night."

Rooney told Inside United magazine that he is loving the attacking football United are playing, with himself, Dimitar Berbatov, Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez all to call on.

He declared: "It's unbelievable. I think Berba is getting better with every game, Ronaldo is getting fitter and Carlos is world class."

Rooney revealed he will go through an odd pre-match ritual before tonight's game - one he observes prior to every match.

He said: "I put my socks on in someone else's seat. I never put them on in my own seat."
