Wayne Rooney will be in Manchester United's squad for the season opener at Swansea City.
Rooney will be on the substitutes' bench at Swansea, following his 67-minute midweek outing for England, after missing all of United's warm-up games with injuries.
If he comes on it will be his first game for the club since May 5 against Chelsea, who have had two bids for him rejected.
It is understood Rooney has assured David Moyes of his full commitment if selected.
