Wayne Rooney has declared he'd love to stay with Manchester United FOR LIFE.

"I'm a northern lad and I'd like to think I could stay here for the rest of my career," said Rooney. "As for moving abroad can you ever seem me playing for a foreign team? I love England and I love being close to my family.

"I've said many times before how much I enjoy playing here and nothing will change that.

"I'm living just 30 miles away from my family. To be honest I don't even like going down to London. I am not comfortable there.

"The fans here appreciate players who give their all for the team and that's what I try to do. I am really settled now after getting married in the summer and I have my close friends and family around m. I am really happy."
