Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney insists he isn't bothered with playing entertaining football if it means losing matches.
The England international highlighted the treble-winning Inter Milan side of last season as the blueprint to follow and says it doesn't matter to him if United cops criticism, as long as they continue winning.
"I would take that all day," he said. "Look at Inter Milan. They won the Italian Treble last season. You wouldn't say they were the most entertaining team to watch, but they achieved history.
"Maybe we do need to kill games off a bit quicker, but hopefully we can do that in the future."
The comments came after last night's less-than-impressive Champions League win over Marseille but nonetheless, the famous club got the result they required to reach the next round of the competition.
As for those who are catching his eye, Rooney admitted a Premier League rival was attracting his attention.
"Barcelona are playing some great football but I am enjoying watching Tottenham at the minute," he added. "It is their first year in the Champions League, so they are something new and they have done so well.
"I am happy we play on a different day to them, because I love watching their matches."
