Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes they have the nucleus of an outstanding team long-term.
Rooney hopes manager Sir Alex Ferguson can find quality signings, though has a lot of confidence in the youngsters at the club.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "The manager is rebuilding with the players that he has brought in, like Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling, the Da Silva twins and Darron Gibson.
"They're all young lads. I think the manager has got a good five, six, seven players to build a team around so I'm sure that's what he'll do."
