Wayne Rooney is ready to leave Manchester United even with David Moyes now manager. The Daily Star says Moyes' arrival as Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement will make no difference because Rooney, 27, is still hell-bent on finding a new club.
With Moyes happy to let Rooney go if he wants to leave, it means the striker is now destined to bring the curtain down on his United career.
A source said: "As we stand it seems the managerial change will make no difference.
"He's had his differences with Sir Alex in the past but he just feels like he's gone stale in general and needs a fresh challenge somewhere else.
"He is also aware of the fact his relationship with the fans could now be damaged forever because this is the second time he's asked to leave and they won't forgive him twice."
