Rooney confirmed as missing for Man Utd v Liverpool clash

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed Wayne Rooney should be fit for the FA Cup replay against West Ham on Wednesday, but will miss Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool. The 27-year-old suffered a knee injury during training before United's Boxing Day match against Newcastle.

"I assume Wayne will be available for Wednesday's replay," said Ferguson.

"Nani is back in training and will be included in the squad for Sunday. Anderson has been back training for 10 days now so he will be in the squad for Sunday. It's good to have them back.
