Rooney cheerleader for Hodgson continuing as England coach

Wayne Rooney is hoping Roy Hodgson extends his England deal when the time comes for contract talks. Hodgson's current contract is up after next summer's European Championship finals, and Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has made it clear no negotiations are imminent.

"Since I've worked with Roy, he's been fantastic for me and the team," Rooney said while sitting alongside Hodgson. "Hopefully they'll sit down and sort it out and we'll have a few more years with him."
