Wayne Rooney has called on Manchester United teammates to buck up their ideas.
Rooney is not mincing his words.
"We all have to step up. It hasn't been good enough of late and we all have to come forward, show why we were champions last year and do better,' said the England striker of his beleaguered club colleagues.
"We have a good run of games now and, hopefully, we can do that. The players are determined to do that. We have a good bunch of players, young and hungry players, and we have to go out there and show we are hungry to get back in a good position in this league.
"Of course, it's hard to explain our results. We don't know why it has happened. As a group of players we have to do better. We are not playing at our best and we have to start doing it. It's disappointing to be where we are in the league, but there are a lot of games left and a lot of points to play for.
"We have to just keep trying to get three points in each game. Whether that is a 1-0 victory, we have to take it and keep trying to climb the table."
