Manchester United manager David Moyes is of the belief that Wayne Rooney's presence could have helped the side avoid a loss on Sunday.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield, with Daniel Sturridge netting the only goal early on, but Moyes feels it could have been a different story if Rooney was able to overcome a cut head and play.
"Wayne would have made a difference today," said Moyes.
"We maybe lacked something different at times.
"But we didn't have him because of the injury."
