Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has heaped praise on Gareth Bale. Ronaldo has taken Bale under his wing at Madrid, with the former Tottenham man, significantly, sitting at the Portuguese's table for this week's Real Christmas lunch.
Ronaldo said: "He started a little bit slow with injuries and small problems. It's normal because he didn't do the pre-season. Afterwards, he's been under a lot of pressure. It's hard but I think he's now in a good way, he's integrated more in the team.
"People like him, the supporters and the players want him [here]. I hope he can help us win trophies."
