Cristiano Ronaldo is demanding Real Madrid NOT sell James Rodriguez.

James is being urged to quit Real this summer by Colombian football identities after a difficult year in Madrid.

But Sport says Ronaldo has told Real president Florentino Perez to keep hold of the midfielder.

The pair share the same agent, Jorge Mendes, and are good friends. James famously drove from Monaco to Munich to meet Ronaldo two seasons ago and they've been close ever since.

Indeed, it's claimed the relationship has created some dressing room friction with teammates. Some directors also believe they're a bad influence on eachother.

James has been linked with Manchester United and PSG, but should he leave Real, he will do so against Ronaldo's wishes.
