Ronaldo brace sees Real Madrid reach Copa final

Real Madrid have reached the Copa del Rey final thanks to two spotkicks from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo scored two first-half penalties as Real Madrid booked their place in the final of the Copa del Rey against city rivals Atletico with a 2-0 victory.

Real were already 3-0 up from the first leg and headed east to the Vicente Calderon with a huge degree of security.

"The tie overall was good for us. The advantage that we got in the first match was crucial, we also scored very soon tonight, which almost settled things. The team played well in both matches and we deserved to win. I think that we have played well in all of our cup matches, and kept clean sheets, and that is very good. Now we're through to the final, which is important," said Real coach Carlo Ancelotti.
