Excited by the new additions made in the summer, Ronaldinho said: "This season, the team that Barca has created has great potential. We're now all working very hard to get used to eachother's play and I am convinced we will again be a winning team this season.

"Personally, I am working hard in training so I am in the best shape possible to give my best to Barcelona. I'm not worried about individual awards, I just want to win titles for Barcelona.

"At the moment, I'm very well. Preseason is a difficult time for footballers, but like my teammates I believe I am improving little by little."

Asked about the arrival of former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho added: "It's great. I'm very happy with his addition to our team. He's a player of great experience and someone who can lift the quality of Barcelona."
