Sacked West Bromwich Albion striker Nicolas Anelka is being offered the chance to continue his playing career in Brazil.

According to reports in the Brazilian press, the 35-year-old French striker has been offered to Atletico Mineiro.

The Belo Horizonte outfit, who have Ronaldinho on their books, are being cagey about the reports, however. Director of football Eduardo Maluf told O Tempo: "As I handle all negotiations, I would rather not talk about it, so I won't confirm it but I won't deny it either."
