Dennis Rommedahl is backing Henk ten Cate to make a big impact at Chelsea.
The winger said: "He is keen on attacking football. He has clear ideas of what he wants. He wants us to play football and create chances. He doesn't tell us to go out and stand our ground and hope for the best.
"It is go out, play football and win. He is mentally strong, shows he's the boss and commands the respect and admiration of the players."
Rommedahl admitted the Ajax players are anxious about their future.
He added: "He hasn't spoken to the players about the situation.
"If he should go it's a step forward for him personally.
"For us he leaves behind, it's difficult to say. Some players might be worried."
