AS Roma midfielder David Pizarro hopes to make a debut for Manchester City on the weekend.

City take on Fulham at the Etihad this Saturday looking to bounce back from a disappointing night at Everton.

Pizarro said: "The manager has shown great faith in bringing me here. I'm fit and ready and available for selection.

"I first learned of the move in the winter break. I hadn't been in the first team for a while and Roberto's staff were aware of this.

"I've been in Italy since the age of 19. I never thought I'd be changing countries and cultures. But for me it's a real positive and a help to my career."
