Roma matchwinner Daniele de Rossi says the Scudetto battle is on after closing the gap on leaders Inter Milan to just one point following victory over Genoa yesterday.

He said: "My penalty takes us to within a point from Inter and now we have to try and maintain some consistency.

"Can we win the Scudetto? We believed in our chances even when we were nine points adrift. Inter have some tough games coming up and we have been chasing them for two years."
