Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi admits this weekend's derby against Lazio will be difficult after the earthquake in Abruzzo.
"There is a surreal climate," De Rossi said on Sky News Italia. "It is hard to talk about football when cities and towns have been destroyed.
"I would have been much calmer and more focused on the game if it weren't for the earthquake. Nonetheless, I am hoping for a goal and a win."
Lazio have been on disastrous form and President Claudio Lotito has threatened to suspend his players' pay if their troubles persist.
"Lazio are in exactly the same form as we were in before the first game," De Rossi commented.
"However, it would be a big mistake to think about their negative period. Teams can recover at any point and there are never favourites in any derby."
