Roma midfielder Julio Baptista says they're confident of finishing in the top four this season.

"We have the job of focusing on fourth place and qualifying for the Champions League," Baptista told Rome based daily Il Corriere dello Sport.

"Unfortunately we paid a lot at the start of the season. We suffered and made mistakes. But Roma are now back on track."

On his first season in Serie A, Baptista added: "It's very beautiful and competitive.

"I left Real Madrid because I played little and the club lost the face it had had for some time. I feel very well in Rome."
