Romanov looking to sell Hearts

Heart of Midlothian owner Vladimir Romanov has confirmed he is keen to get out of football and will put the club up for sale.

The Lithuanian-born Russian businessman bought the Edinburgh outfit in 2005 but is now ready to sell after experiencing some financial difficulties in recent times.

Romanov, who also owns Lithuanian club FBK Kaunas and Belarusian outfit Partizan Minsk, told RIA Novosti that is looking to get out of football altogether.

"I want to leave football. I have given the order to find buyers for all my clubs," Romanov said.
