Romain Saiss has joked about choosing Walter Zenga's Wolves ahead of Barcelona.

Saiss, after just a season at Angers, was being linked with Barca and Saint Etienne in the local media, before he chose to join the Molineux revolution.

"The rumour sending me to Barça was totally crazy? Completely. No members of FC Barcelona came into contact with me. They may've come to see me play, but I have never spoken with them," he told France Football.

"But I say and repeat, there was nothing. Is it unsettling that kind of rumor? No, it makes me smile instead. They talked a lot about it in France and Morocco. It's flattering.

"It does not really upset me, and it does not disturb me if it should come out."
