Roma's Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Taddei has put his hand up for the Italy squad.
"If, by chance, Lippi were to call me," Taddei said in an interview with Brazilian website Globesporte. "I would accept the call up."
The former Siena star revealed he has discussed playing for Italy with his teammates at Roma, most notably Francesco Totti.
"I spoke with Totti in our dressing room and he told me to be calm, the other national team players would have no problem with me.
"There is already Mauro Camoranesi [the Italy international of Argentine descent] in the squad and he is an oriundo.
"My life is in Italy," Taddei concluded. "I feel respected here so I would willingly accept any call up to the Azzurri."
