AS Roma have announced they've welcomed fresh investment into the club.

Roma have officially announced a "preliminary agreement" with Sheikh Adnan Adel Aref al Qaddumi al Shtewi to invest in the club.

This evening the club released a statement on its official website confirming a "preliminary agreement" with Sheikh Adnan Adel Aref al Qaddumi al Shtewi and his NEEP Roma Holding S.p.A to enter the club "directly or indirectly."

It is rumoured Sheikh Adnan Adel Aref al Qaddumi al Shtewi could invest up to €100m in Roma, particularly the construction of a new stadium.
