Laurent Blanc is emerging as favourite for the AS Roma job.

With AC Milan confirming Massimiliano Allegri for next season, Roma are being forced to seek alternatives to succeed interim coach Aurelio Andreazzoli.

Sportmediaset says Blanc is favourite for the post, with football chief Walter Sabatini personally driving his appointment. Sabatini also wants Vincent Candela to return as Blanc's assistant.

The stumbling block for Roma, however, is that Blanc also is a candidate for the PSG post, where Carlo Ancelotti is attempting to manufacture a release from his contract.
