Roma are close to a deal for Barcelona winger Ludovic Giuly.

During talks with Barca on Friday in Rome over the sale of Cristian Chivu, Roma sports chief Daniele Prade registered their interest in France international Giuly.

The winger could arrive in Roma as part of Barca's offer for Chivu - which is expected to be tabled this week.
