Roma chief Walter Sabatini is becoming concerned a deal for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko will fall through.
Il Tempo says the two clubs are no closer to agreement about a week of negotiations.
Sabatini will hold more talks today with City officials, but has now informed Dzeko's camp that he needs to put pressure on his club to let him leave.
City have slapped a €30 million price-tag on Dzeko and are refusing to budge. Roma's last offer was for €20 million.
Sabatini is now banking on Dzeko pushing for a move from his end to help negotiations.
