Julio Baptista has scored the only goal of the game to give Roma a crucial win against local rivals Lazio in Sunday's late match. Both sides ended the match with 10 men after Lazio's Ledesma and Roma's Perrotta both saw red late in the second half for double bookings.

Baptista had given Roma the lead in the 50th minute, with a glancing header from a Francesco Totti cross.

Lazio poured on the pressure in the closing stages in search of an equaliser, with Zarate and Lichtsteiner wasting several chances.
