AS Roma have been told they must double their bid to land Benfica ace Axel Witsel.

The Giallorossi have offered €20 million for the Belgium international.

But Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira said: "If they pay us the termination clause of €40 million we cannot do anything and the player will leave.

"But until then we will be happy to keep him with us."
