Roma take Fabio Borini in co-ownership deal

AS Roma have taken former Chelsea striker Fabio Borini in co-ownership with Parma.

Borini, 20, starred in the club's 4-0 drubbing of Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, scoring an impressive brace and agent Marco De Marchi has compared the player to AC Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: "Roma were quick to make a move for the player and have now taken him on a permanent deal six months in advance.

"Borini grew up at Chelsea under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, but when it came to discussing his contract renewal, the boy was left out of the squad.

"In terms of comparisons with Inzaghi, Ancelotti, who has coached both (Chelsea and AC Milan), was the first one to do it.

"Of course Inzaghi is a legend of football and one of the strongest strikers in history. However, their technical qualities are very similar as are their great personality."
