West Ham United are considering a surprise swoop for Roma striker Edin Dzeko, according to reports from Italy.

West Ham are set to make a move to the Olympic Stadium next season and the Hammers are now looking to bring in a host of marquee players to the club as they look to become one of the elite outfits in England and eventually Europe.

As a result, a number of high profile names have been linked with a move to East London in recent times and now according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Hammers are considering a swoop for former Manchester City striker Dzeko who is expected to be available for around £20million.
