Roma stadium plans on track

AS Roma's new stadium plans are continuing.

President James Pallotta's company bought out a share of bank Unicredit and plans are progressing for the construction of a new stadium.

"The President made this choice because he knows the potential of the club and has faith in its infrastructure," said chief Italo Zanzi.

"The new investors have great experience and know what business is all about. It's a great opportunity to have them on our Board of Directors and we are proud to have them with us.

"The President wants to do everything possible to win, as this club has very strong foundations and a great future.

"We have a group created specifically to work on the stadium issue and we know it will take time, but we have a precise strategy.

"The new stadium will be a huge opportunity for the fans, but also a focal point for the club that will be important for the city."
