Ludovic Giuly was delighted to grab his first goal in a Roma shirt during yesterday's 2-1 defeat at West Ham.
"I knew it would be tough in Italy. I had been warned the pre-season preparation is tougher than anywhere else. I was able to confirm that with my own experience," continued the Frenchman.
"I am discovering a third League. It is all wonderful and new to me. It is difficult, but I love a challenge and am happy to be facing them."
Giuly combined brilliantly with Francesco Totti in that friendly game and was full of praise for his captain.
"The rapport with Francesco is excellent, even if we have trouble communicating because of the language barrier. He is a very likeable person.
"Totti works very hard and is a real emblem of this club. Last season he won the Golden Shoe as the top scorer in all of Europe, an award only the great players achieve. I am happy to be playing alongside him."
