Manchester City will learn Friday over their chances of landing AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
Sportmediaset says Roma have informed De Rossi and his agent, Sergio Berti, that their five-year contract offer, worth €6 million-a-season, will not be increased - and they want a final decision from the player on Friday.
Also concerning Roma's new board is the fee Berti is demanding to broker the deal.
For their part, City's €10 million-a-year offer tabled in the summer remains on the table and manager Roberto Mancini is becoming increasingly confident of landing his top target this month.
