AS Roma left-back John Arne Riise is reportedly keen on joining a Major League Soccer club in the summer. The 30-year old Norway international looks set to depart the Italian capital in July and it is believed that he is considering a move to the USA, where he was recently married, according to fastweb.it
Riise will more than likely leave the Giallorossi in summer and reports suggest he may be on his way to German club Werder Bremen or even back to his homeland but he is certainly keeping the door open for a MLS move.
The former Liverpool star, who has also played with Aalesund in Norway and AS Monaco in France, will be sure to attract a lot of attention from clubs in the States. He has played almost 100 times for his national team.
He also was a part of Liverpool's 2005 Champions League-winning team which defeated AC Milan on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw, playing the entire match on the left side of midfield as the Reds came back from a three-goal deficit.
Riise also won the 2006 FA Cup, the 2003 League Cup and two European Super Cups during his time at Anfield where he made over 230 appearances for Liverpool.
