Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly failed in their bid to buy Daniele De Rossi from AS Roma.
The Italian international has been heavily linked with City recently but it is believed he is set to announce at a press conference that he has rejected a £31million deal to head to the Etihad Stadium.
City made the bid on the weekend and were poised to offer him a £7million-a-year contract but Goal.com suggests that De Rossi will officially announce on Tuesday that he is staying in Rome with the Giallorossi.
