Roma’s Baptista linked with swap for Spurs striker Pavlyuchenko

Roma attacker Julio Baptista has been linked with a move to Tottenham.

Rome sources say the Brazil international, a former Arsenal player, could move to Spurs in part-exchange for Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Russia international Pavlyuchenko is a target for Roma chief Daniele Prade.

On Baptista's role in the deal, his agent, Herminio Menendez, told Romanews.eu: "In this swap for January there is nothing true. Now Julio is with the national team.

"Every report, however, points to the future."
