AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has avoided serious ligament injury.
Strootman sustained the injury during Saturday's 2-1 friendly win over Serie B side Ternana.
The Giallorossi were angry at the tough tackling on show in a friendly and feared the worst when Strootman went off with a sprained left ankle.
